Is it spicy?
For the original MILD version, there's a little kick from the peppers, but it’s not overwhelmingly hot.
The product is meant to enhance the flavor of your dish. The recipe includes Szechuan chili peppers and peppercorns. With a score of 10 being "burn your face" spicy, here are the spice levels:
- Mild Kine Spicy - 1/10
- Medium Kine Spicy - 5/10
- Spicy Kine Spicy - 8/10
The MEDIUM kine spicy level has a little bit of ghost peppers in it. The SPICY kine spicy level has a lot.

About the recent tragic wildfires on Maui
Our hearts are heavy as we stand together with the Maui community in the wake of the recent tragic wildfires. As active leaders of various nonprofits on Maui, we understand the profound pain that our friends and neighbors are enduring.
In the midst of this sorrow, we find solace in unity and draw strength from each other. We extend our heartfelt mahalo for choosing to stand by small businesses during these difficult times. We firmly believe that small businesses are the lifeblood of our local economy, and play an integral role in this journey towards recovery.
At Maui Chili Chili Oil, our mission has always been to bring joy to both your meals and your lives. Even amidst the darkness that the recent catastrophe has brought, we are determined to be a source of hope. Even in the face of such profound losses, we're committed to infusing optimism into our products and interactions.
As we move forward, let's continue to uplift one another, support our local businesses, and stand strong as a community. We can restore not only what has been lost, but also the spirit of hope that fuels us.
With deepest gratitude and aloha,
Deron & Kit Furukawa
